Before reading any of the examples below, it is strongly recommended that 
you review the Guardian Frequently Asked Questions page on our website at 
http://www.networksolutions.com/en_US/help/guardian.html.  There, you will find 
very detailed information about Guardian and the various methods you can use 
to protect your contact records, host records and domain names that you 
are a Guardian for. 

We're providing the examples below simply so you can find the correct way to 
complete a Contact Form template based on the activity you are trying to 
accomplish. Once you've filled in a template, you must send it via e-mail 
to hostmaster@networksolutions.com. 

If you are completing the template to register a new contact, it doesn't 
matter where you are sending the template from. If you are modifying a 
record and your Guardian method is Mail-From, you must send the template 
from the e-mail address you told us you'd use. If you are modifying a 
record and your Guardian method is Crypt-PW, you must include the plain text 
version of your current password on the template. If you are modifying a 
record and your Guardian method is PGP, you must sign the message with your 
PGP private key before sending the message to hostmaster@networksolutions.com. 

Note to novices: Using templates can be tricky if you're not familiar 
with what information goes where. We recommend you use the online tools to 
update your contact record. They can be found on our website at
http://www.networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/makechanges/itts/handle.
  
We've provided these examples:

In the next set of examples, we don't differentiate between an individual 
contact record and a role account contact record. While we do rotate 
between  Example Individual Contact and the Example Role Account Contact, 
it doesn't matter what type of contact record you are modifying so long 
as you complete the Contact Form template appropriately. 

Once a contact record has been created, Network Solutions will send the 
individual or role account an e-mail confirming that the record has been 
created and advising the contact what his contact handle is. In our 
examples below, Example Individual Contact's contact handle is EIC27. 
Example Role Account Contact's contact handle is CE2558-ORG. 

If your contact information is not changing, you should use your contact 
handle instead of re-entering your information. However, if you are 
changing information within your contact record, such as your street address 
or phone number, you must provide your contact handle along with the new 
information you want us to have. Example 7, below, shows how to complete 
the Contact Form template if you are changing your Guardian method and your 
phone number, for instance. Examples 8 through 15 show you how to fill in 
the Contact Form template if only your Guardian information is changing. 

If you are modifying your record to switch to the Mail-From Guardian method
or to change your e-mail address, enter the e-mail address you'll use to 
send us your modifications on lines 1l and 3b.
